Rainbow Write

Today we started our letter study.  In PreK we introduce a letter a week, and today we began at the very beginning...A!

We will talk about this letter all week, and learn how to recognize it, write it, what sounds it makes, and some words that begin with it.

All week you will get a glimpse into our letter introduction routine.

We begin by going over our All About... chart.

 We then go to Starfall.com to learn new words that begin with our letter and play a game.

 We then watch a few wonderful YouTube songs with catchy tunes to help us learn some new words that start with our letter. 

 This afternoon we did our first Rainbow Write!  This is a fun way for us to learn how to correctly form the letters in the alphabet.

We began by learning our rainbow song.

Ask your child to sing it to you!

 We then go color by color in rainbow order tracing the uppercase and lowercase letter.

The Star of the Week.

Meet our first Star Ava!

 Not only is she the special star this week, but today was her 5th Birthday!
