Mrs. Caldarera began our day with a wonderful Religion lesson about friendship. God created us all as a part of his family, and through that we are all friends.
Mrs. C created some adorable little people that were then cut in half and distributed among the students. The class then had to find who had the other half of their person to match as their special friend.
The pairs of friends were then introduced, and Mrs. Caldarera made a friend book out of the people matched.
Mrs. C and Madeleine are friends.
Rhys and Austin are friends.
Sawyer and Alex are friends.
Charlie and Sully are friends.
Finley and I are friends!
Chloe and Ava are friends.
Allie and Lynn are friends.
James and Paul are friends.
Ollie and Emilie are friends.
We are ALL friends!!!
With our next lesson, we moved on to more Math.
Today we learned about third shape, the triangle!
Meet Trixie Triangle.
Then Lynn, Sully, Ava, and Sawyer had the task of finding the triangles in our shape friend, and coloring them.
Then the rest of the class worked to sort objects that are either circles, triangles, or squares.
Then this afternoon we continued learning about patterns. We began by reviewing on our Smartboard how to name patterns using letters. We then had to do our very first group project... Making A Patterns!
Each table got to choose two objects that began with A between Arkansas, Angels, and Apples.
Then they had to figure out how to work together to create a pattern of their choosing.
They did a great job taking turns to create these wonderful patterns!
Table #3 made an AABB pattern using Apples and Angels.
Table #1 made and AB pattern using Arkansas and Apples.
Table #2 also made an AB pattern using Arkansas and Apples.
Table #5 also made an AB pattern using Arkansas and Apples.
Table #4 made an AB pattern using Angels and Arkansas.
Check our are awesome A patterns!!
A big thank you to our wonderful Star of the Week Ava for the delicious Animal crackers for her special A snack. They were a hit!
Finally, I have to apologize...I set up an adorable silly sock day picture...used a new app to take the picture so that everyone would fit in..and...it's nowhere to be found.
Ugh technology. Sorry!
