Big Green Monster

This week our theme is all about being a helper.
Today we learned 4 very important rules to make us great helpers both at home and in school.
From the chart we made today it looks like we have some wonderful helpers at home.  I know I have amazing helpers at school...I couldn't do it without them!
 Speaking of good helpers...
Miss Ollie has been such a wonderful helper to her friends lately.  I have heard some very kind words come out her her mouth to help make others feel better, and ensure everyone knows she is their friend.  I am very proud of this sweet girl...warm fuzzy for her!!
Up to this point we have learned all primary colors, red, blue, and yellow.  Today we learned that if we mix different combinations of these colors we make secondary colors.
The first secondary color we are covering is green.
We learned that if  you get blue and yellow...
 and mix it together...
 you get green!!!
 pretty cool huh
 it's like magic!!!
Now lets put this green paint to good use.

So we read the always fun, and a bit spooky, book
"The Big Green Monster"
and made some monsters of our own!

You must ask your child how this wonderful story ended!

Finally, a big shout out to one of the happiest kiddos I've ever met..
Mr. James Clark!

A Healthy Me

This week our theme was "How Can I Stay Healthy".
We learned that the three ways to stay healthy are to keep clean, eat healthy, and exercise.
Here are some ways we stay clean.
Let's buy healthy food, and throw away the junk!

Speaking of junk....today we made our last apple treat, rice krispie apples!
(at least it looks like a healthy food right?)
We made the treats into balls, then added a tootsie roll for the stem.

Then an icing leaf.

TaDa!!! What a yummy looking bushel of apples.
 The class agreed!!!

 YUMMO!
This afternoon we got to attend a pep rally to cheer for our HSS fall sports teams.
Go Wabbits!!
Can you tell Chloe was in heaven?
A cheerleader in the making.

We had a great week, and ended it with a cheer.  Have a great long weekend!

Well today could not have been more fun, or adorable.
Meet the cutest cowboys and cowgirls alive.

Ollie, Austin, and Allie
Charlie, Alex, and Rhys
Lynn, Finley, James, and Madeleine
Ava, Allie, and Chloe
 Madison and Paul
 Sully and Sawyer
I caught two of my cowgirls in bandit action.  Look out!
 Giddy Up Rhys!
 The whole motley gang.
Also, on this fun day we had a very special visitor...Fr. Tom!
Fr. Tom has such a fun way with kids, so the class loved him.  He also taught us how cowboys pray...hat over the heart.
Finally, meet our adorable Star of the Week Lynn!
Not only is she the Star, but it's her 5th Birthday!!
Thank you so much for the delicious Ll Little Debbies Lynn!
