Polar Bear Polar Bear

To stick with our freezing weather theme, we made some pretty cute, pretty chilly polar bears today. It's no secret I love guided drawings! Not only do the students' personalities shine through, but it's a great practice in listening and following step by step instructions. Here goes...
First, draw the head and body with chalk.








Then use the side of the chalk to smudge some white fur on. (Word to the wise...don't use "no dust" chalk)











Now to add the facial features...

















Then we had to make the polar bears' snowy habitats. We started with snowflakes.





Then tore paper to make the drifts.





Tada!!!!
