Last week we learned how to keep ourselves safe.
We learned to call 911 in an emergency, what is considered an emergency, and that some signs are that keep us safe.
We practiced using the terms top, middle, and bottom when learning about a stop light.
Then we used our shape knowledge and thinking skills to build a stoplight out of wood pieces.
We then used the light we built to sort the cubes we had into the correct circles on the light.
Time to see what we remember...
What goes on the top, middle, and bottom of the light??
Next we went on a little sign hunt to practice reading signs in real life.
Here we are safely crossing the crosswalk.
We learned all about the letter L...how to write it correctly, the sound it makes, what words begin with it, and who has one in their name.
How appropriate is it that the first day of Fall landed during L week?
You have to make Leaves in that case!
We had so much fun rolling marbles covered in fall colored paint around on our leaves to make a fun pattern on the leaves.
Now they are hanging from the ceiling of our room like falling leaves!
Check out our September apple wall!!
We've been busy!
Our apple snack last week was apple pie in a cup.
We crushed up graham crackers to put on the bottom, added a scoop of apple pie filling, and a dollop of whipped cream to the top.
MMMM MMMMM
The Star of the Week was Miss Hattie
Thank you for the delicious Honey graham crackers, HiC, and Hershey kisses!
