Friends and Family

Oh what a fun and crazy week we've had celebrating our amazing community that is Holy Souls Catholic School.  I absolutely loved growing up going to a Catholic School, and I now love each day getting to give back and teach at the best one in Little Rock.
My very favorite thing about our school is the amazing families that make it up.  I have never met more genuine, kind, supportive, and giving people before in my life, and today was a day to thank you.

Here are most of my adorable Stars and their amazing families!
I love you all.

I Heart P Week!

Well it's official, P week is my favorite.  I have the hardest time narrowing down the activities, lesson plans, and crafts because there is just so much to choose from.

One thing I can NEVER skip is the beloved...
P is for Pig.

If you haven't heard, I'm kindof obsessed with pigs.  The obsession is to the point of ordering one online one time, yep I'm crazy.  Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on who you are, the shipping was 3x the cost of the pig itself.  Needless to say he never made the trek from Canada to my doorstep, and I'm still sad about it.

Anyway!
Check out these adorable pigs we drew.
We did a guided drawing then colored him pink.

Next we practiced our writing: P is for PIG

Finally we painted the grass and sky.

 TA DA!
Does it get any cuter!?

Then...you'll never believe it...we had a VERY special visitor!!!
Everyone meet Clyde the pig.

OH MY GOSH
Yes, he walks on a leash and sleeps with the cats in his family.

We had so much fun getting to love on this sweet thing!
We made him really happy when we got to feed him.

You should've seen that tail wag!

We ended today by turning into Pirates!
You can't be a pirate without a parrot on your shoulder.
 ARGH!!

Catholic Schools Week

We are so lucky to attend such a wonderful school with the most amazing community, and this week we get to celebrate it!
It's Catholic Schools Week.
Each day this week we will celebrate someone else in our wonderful community.  Monday we celebrated the most important part of our school...the students.
Everyone got pizza for lunch, we had a movie and popcorn instead of nap, we had extra outside playtime, AND we got free dress!  WOW  There was one silly catch...can you tell from the picture what's different?
While we're celebrating students, what better student to celebrate than our Star Student, Rhys!?
Thank you so much to Rhys for his super yummy star shaped Red Rice krispie treats!
Not only were they delicious, but we loved getting to enjoy them outside in this lovely January (what!?) weather.
Then yesterday we celebrated those that help us in our community by writing thank you notes to specific helpers.
First we wrote notes to Fr. Erik thanking him for all he does for our school.

Then our class got to write thank you notes to the Little Rock Police Department thanking them for keeping us safe.

We got a surprise visit from officer Michele Hill!  She taught us all about her uniform, and all of her tools on the cool "superhero belt" she wears.  Then we got to hand deliver our notes!
Mr. Rhys shared another delicious R snack with us today...
Ritz Bits and Raisins!
Thank you Rhys1

100th Day Hooray!!

Can you believe it!?
We have made it 100 days in PreK, so we are 100 days brighter!

We had so much fun celebrating this accomplishment.  I treated the kiddos with yummy 100 cupcakes.

We then did a journal on what we would buy if we had $100!

My oh my the toll 100 days in PreK has taken on us!!

(I'm so sorry for the missing 2 photos...I promise to add them tomorrow!)

Don't worry though, we're still our adorable 4/5 year old selves!
