Today we continued to learn what makes each of us oh so special.
One of the characteristics we discussed today was being a boy or girl. We began by sorting objects in a venn diagram. Each student got to come up and pick an item to sort.
We would ask the class if they would play with or wear the object, and if only girls raised their hand the object went on the pink side. If only boys raised their hand the object went on the blue side, and if both boys and girls play with the object it went in the middle.
Then we added the final touches to the adorable heads we made yesterday... a bow!
Bow ties for the boys
Hair bows for the girls
During our afternoon lesson we learned that we grown and change. Everyone is growing, but we are all different heights and sizes. This, you guessed it, makes us special!
We explored different ways to measure ourselves.
First, with a ruler.
Then we learned that we can measure ourselves with anything, so we went with string.
We had fun comparing our blue string, that showed our height now, to our white string that shows how long we were when we were born.
Look how much we've grown!!
What a fun exploration!
