Penguins

Although I wasn't thrilled about coming back to work in the middle of the week, I must say I actually enjoyed coming back and only having a half week of work to get acclimated:) Also, today was a short (but fun) day and that's always nice!

Because it's my favorite season, winter, we will begin doing lots of fun snowy activities. We started a very cute one yesterday, and got to finish it up today.
First we drew a penguin with oil pastels. Then I had them add some "magic" white snow around the penguin...again using (white) oil pastels.





















Of course they complained that they couldn't see the snow they were drawing, but I reassured them we could make the magic work!
So...magic time! Today, we used our blue water color to help us see the snow...









Will cracked me up...in a very frustrated tone he said, "I keep trying to paint this spot over and over and it won't make it blue!" Well Will, that's the magic! Haha love that kid.

We had some absent, but I still must show their cute penguins pre-paint...


I just love how they all have their own personality just like their makers!
