A walk in the Clouds

Everyday, we go through a morning routine of prayer, announcements, calendar, weather...let's stop there. During this part of the routine we sing a little song then our classroom meteorologist informs us of the days weather. He/She reports of the sunny, cloudy, or rainy weather; however, today was something new...FOGGY! Well, what do you do in foggy weather? First you learn what fog is (a cloud), then you walk inside the cloud! Sounds silly, i know, but the kids thought it was cool:)

Yeah, it was a wet cloud, but we had to check it out!

By the way, how cute are these kiddos in their real clothes!?

Everyone looked absolutely precious, but you must see this great shirt!

Love it Jacob!

Check out some center superstars doing the newly introduced "write around the room"! This is a new activity at writing center where the kids can grab a clipboard and take off writing any and all words around our room. Here are Rachael and Owain writing pages of great words!

Because I didn't get a chance to blog yesterday, I have more fun things to share, so here goes.

Yesterday , to go along with the letter M, we read the book "The Mitten". We did a few fun things to go along with this wonderful book, and I'm so impressed with the results of one of them. We did this wonderful worksheet where the kids had to use their imaginations to think of something that one may not think could really fit in a mitten, but, like in the book, could fit in theirs.
I am SO impressed that everyone came up with something different, drew a picture that you can really tell what it is, and sounded out and wrote the word! Here are some standouts:

Also yesterday, our Star Lindley brought her L snack...

Mmmmm lemon-blueberry muffins and lemonade. Thank you Lindley!
