5 little Pumpkins

Today we read the book"Five Little Pumpkins", then did a fun project to go with it.

We first had to practice writing 5s.

Then I gave them a black piece of construction paper with the "Five Little Pumpkins" story typed on the back; however, I left blanks where the word "five" should be. The students then filled in the blanks with the number 5.

They then used the other side of the paper to create a picture to go with the story.

Each student had to make 5 posts on the fence.

Then draw 5 pumpkins, one on each post.

This was our first time to use our oil pastels. We were excited that they drew on black paper!!

This lesson both helped us to count to and draw 5, but we had fun while doing it!!

Here's our new star Jacob!
