Pilgrims and Indians

Feast day is here! We, the teachers, decided that it would be a bit challenging to wear the Indian paper sack and eat the feast successfully, so we've got something equally as festive up our sleeves. However, what's Thanksgiving without the Pilgrims and Indians...nonexistent really.

So in our class we first had a pilgrim day where we learned all about the people, how they lived, and how yet dressed. We then made fun self portraits of ourselves as pilgrims, and they turned out pretty cute!

Love em!

Then yesterday we had Indian day! We talked about how differently the Indians loved than the Pilgrims, how they wrote things down, and how they dressed.
First we made cave drawings:

We looked at a chart that showed us some pictures the Indians really used and what they meant.

Crumple it up

We then got our very own Indian names, and got dressed for a pow wow!

HOW!
