First Week Fun

One week down, and a lot of fun to go!!

We began our week as new Wabbits with a pep rally to learn all about having H.E.A.R.T.

As the week went on we made ourselves at home by meeting the wonderful support staff  of Holy Souls.

First stop, the office.

 Then Mrs. Palazzi our amazing technology guru got to come visit us...and fix the computer.

On Wednesday, after learning the correct way to play, work, and clean up, we got to go to centers!

Waverly and Sawyer had fun stringing beads at Puzzles and Games Center.

 Lulu and Winters did some exploring with magnets at Science Center.

 Liza made her police friend, Joseph, a delicious meal at Housekeeping Center.

 Luke showed off his writing skills at Writing Center.

 Avey and Jane created some beautiful pink...things at Art Center.

 Wyatt and Nash had fun hearing the story, How to Dinosaurs go to School?, at Listening Center.

 Savannah and Addi made some funny creatures at Blocks Center.

 Look at Vada and Heston working hard on some sorting and tangram skills at Math Center.

 Finally, sweet Emma enjoyed our class library with Mrs. Mansfield while at Reading Center.

As the rain came down, we got to have some playtime in the gym with our new friends!

We talked a lot about making good choices, and a wonderful storybook character, David, is a great way to discuss what NOT to do.  We made our own Davids, and charted what were some things David should and should not do at school.

 Finally, we ended the week with the sweet story about Chester the Racoon, and the nerves he had about leaving his mom on the first day of school, The Kissing Hand.

I think the whole class could relate to the feelings Chester had, so we made our own Chesters.

 I can't wait to spend the rest of the year with this adorable group of...

 Silly Stars!!

And...we must mention that we already had our first pulled tooth!

Vada's tooth fell out at lunch yay!
