As Thanksgiving nears, we have begun our "Turkey Week". This week all of our lessons in each subject will involve turkeys in some way.
Today we began by going on a turkey hunt!
Once we found a turkey hidden around the room we had to use positional words to describe to the class where we found it.
Rhys found his turkey UNDER the Smartboard.
Ava's turkey was in the MIDDLE of the calendar.
Ollie's was ABOVE the soap.
Madeleine found a turkey ON TOP of the blocks.
Sully found one INSIDE the oven in housekeeping center.
The students did such a great job speaking in complete sentences to their classmates to describe where they found their turkey.
Then this afternoon we made our first turkeys of the season.
Once the turkey was made we created posters to save the turkeys.
Save a turkey eat more...insert your favorite food here.
My stars did a great job writing their favorite foods to complete the poster.
I love these things!
Since they're so cute I just might skip out on the turkey and indulge in some gummy bears for Thanksgiving instead.
To conclude I must introduce our adorable Star of the Week, Sully!
