Moo Says the Cow

We had so much fun learning all about the farm last week! We learned a about the animals, what all they can do, and who takes card of a farm.

Among the many animals we learned about, we found out all about cows. We even got to watch a video showing us how we get milk from them!

Of course you can't learn about milk cows without making a few of our own!

We also got to celebrate a of our sweet March birthdays before heading off on Spring Break adventures!

I can't wait to see my new 5 year olds! My my how time flies.

Countin Jacks

As we continue to learn more numbers on our way to 20 we must take time to review. What a better way to do this than with a little fun and exercise mixed in!?

Let me first apologize if anyone's child came home and began throwing their stuffed animals at the television...I take full responsibility.

Last week we played a fun balloon pop number game on the smart board. First we threw a beanie baby at the board in hopes of popping a balloon to reveal a number 1-17.

When a number was revealed, the student had to identify the number and do that many jumping jacks before picking a friend to go next.

A few more very exciting things happened last week in PreKA:

First of all, our very talented real life artist, Mrs. Ashley, began working with the kids to create an amazing piece of class art. Ashley has put so much of her own time and creativity into making this a very special piece that I know you will all fight over at the upcoming Soul Night auction. Here's a sneak peak:

Finally, I must note that sweet Addison had an unbelievably wiggly tooth, so we had to pay a special visit to the tooth pulling pro...Mrs. Korte. It's not a lie folks, she can pull teeth like nothing I've ever seen before! I didn't even know she had done it.

Congratulations Addison on loosing your first tooth!

Going Green

I hope all of your St. Patricks Days were as fun and full of luck as ours was in PreKA!

We began our day by discussing and journaling what it is that we feel lucky for.

Then we made some beautiful rainbow necklaces that I'm sure doubled as an after school snack for most.
This was fun, yummy, and gave our fingers a great workout!

Then we got some delicious holiday treat!
Green kebabs...

And Rainbow Krispie treats.

Mmmmmm mmmmm

Happy St. Paddy's day!!!
