Thanksgiving Feast

What a special day it was in PreK today. We had a day full of thanks!

We began the day with a very sweet tree dedication ceremony in memory of our dear friend Mallory. The parents and students of Holy Souls PreK bought a pink crepe mertle that has been planted on one of our main walking routs so that we may have a constant reminder of her bright spirit that we miss so dearly. The ceremony was lead by Fr Eric with a prayer and blessing, then we everyone let pink balloons go.

We then got dressed for a yummy kid style Thanksgiving Feast. Complete with Pilgrims, Indians, a paper turkey, and candy filled turkey legs!

What a wonderful day of friends, food, and fun! I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful holiday.

How!!

Thanksgiving week is here! To celebrate we had a fun Native American day. We learned about the tools and weapons they used, the homes they lived in, the clothes they wore, and how they wrote stories and messages.

We learned some of the symbols that the Native Americans used, then decorated our vests using them.

Then we practiced our patterning skills while decorating our headbands.

Then we suited up and learned how to say hi...
How!

Turkeys Turkeys Everywhere!

Look at these adorable turkeys! I've really grown to love guided drawings because the kids are great artists and their personalities really shine through.

Thank you for being an amazing Star of the Week Sofia!

Check out this delicious snack.
