This last month of school we are in full Kindergarten prep mode, and are focusing on reading. We are starting a word wall full of words we have learned to spell like color and weather words, new three letter words that we are learning to sound out, and new sight words. We have also begun doing a morning message. This is a message I write on the board each morning, then I draw a name from a jar and have that student come up and circle every word or phrase they can read aloud.
The student then picks a friend to come up and do the same with a different color marker.
I'm pretty impressed so far, aren't you?!
Another new addition in our room that's helping us better our reading skills are our blending eggs in the reading center.

Everyone has already come so far that I really can't wait to see where we are in less than three weeks!
