The Red Nosed Reindeer

Our latest holiday project turned out so cute!!
We did a guided drawing of Rudolph, then colored and painted it.
Everyone's is so unique and adorable!

This afternoon Mrs. Susan from the Museum of Discovery came to teach us about alligators.
She even brought one to show us and let us touch!

 A little catch up...
This sweet Star has lost her two bottom teeth!
Yay Madison!
 Finally,
Silly Duckie...took a dive in our warm fuzzies!

St. Nick

To start our day we found Duckie sitting by the door with some of his friends.
He brought Gingerbread Girl and Gingerbread Boy to hang out during our Gingerbread Week!
Then, aalthoughthe feast of St. Nick was actually Dec. 6, we celebrated today.  We read the story of St. Nick during story time, then put our shoes outside during naptime to see if St. Nick would come.

He came he came!!

Then this afternoon we did a math lesson on length.
We reviewed the terms shorter, longer, and same.

Then we found things around the room to compare ourselves to.
The Christmas tree is longer than Allie.
The cots are longer than Chloe.
The lamp is longer than Rhys.
The paper is shorter than Sawyer.
The writing center is shorter than Sully.
Finally, we had to put different paper strips in order by length to create a Christmas tree!

Gotta have a star on top!

Say hello to our adorable little Star of the Week Chloe!

Candy Cane

We learned the features they have that allow them to live at night.
Some have big ears to hear their prey and some have large eyes so they can see better.
Then we sorted some animals into nocturnal and diurnal.

Then before nap, our reading buddies came and did a very special craft with us.
First they read us the legend of the candy cane.
We learned all about why it is red and white striped, and why it is shaped the way it is.
Then we made candy canes!

Duckie update...yesterday, he made himself into the star of the week!  Silly Duckie:).
Then unfortunately today we came in, and Duckie was so sad.
He told us he was sad because we were a bit crazy the day before...luckily that changed today!
Finally, thank you to Paul for being an awesome Star of the Week this week!
He brought us delicious Avenger popsicles and he shared his special week with our crazy elf.
Thank you Paul!
